Sony’s PlayStation 5 may not be the best-selling system in the United States, but it is undoubtedly the most sought-after. The PS5 is still in limited supply more than a year after it was released. The consoles are only accessible at shops in brief, often unannounced replenishment spurts, so don’t expect to find one on the shelf when you go into Walmart or Best Buy.
The worldwide semiconductor scarcity was, of course, a factor. High demand, on the other hand, is a major component of the equation. As they explore the open world and visit well-known locations, players will face new dangers.

The next installment in Bandai Namco’s “Tales Of” series, “Tales of Arise,” will be released on September 10 for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Players will visit two planets — one of which has been silently looting the other for millennia — via the perspective of two individuals born on those worlds in this anime-style action RPG.

NBA 2K22 is a basketball simulation game (pre-order)

We’re less than a month away from the start of the 2024-22 NBA season, which means it’s time for 2K Games to release a new NBA 2K basketball game. NBA 2K22, which will be released on September 10, will have a “MyCareer” option that will lead players to the NBA or WNBA through several paths depending on their decisions in the game.

Demon’s Souls is a game about demons and their souls.

The original game in the “Souls” series, “Demon’s Souls,” has been recreated on the PlayStation 5, replete with its harsh, merciless difficulty level. In a 5 out of 5 review of “Demon’s Souls,” it praised the “fresh coat of paint, improved audio, and additional features,” calling it “the only way to play the game.”

“Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” (2020), the next installment in Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise, is set mostly between 872 and 878 AD, during a historically inspired war between the Vikings and Anglo-Saxon kingdoms. The game’s most recent significant update (1.3.1), which was published on Tuesday, added new powers, weapons, and a new “nightmare” difficulty level to the game.

Miles Morales Launch Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man

According to Rollin Bishop of, the action game is best played on the PlayStation 5: “Swinging around the PS5’s synthetic reproduction of New York City is awe-inspiring, and the game’s performance mode lives up to its name.”

The latest installment in Insomniac Games’ popular franchise, “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart,” is set in two universes: the one players are familiar with, and an alternate dimension where the hero Ratchet is instead a down-on-her-luck heroine named Rivet who has never teamed up with an ally like Clank. The game has a unique concept that allows players to travel via inter-dimensional portals in real time.

The newest chapter in the critically acclaimed Call of Duty series immerses players in major World War II engagements on the Eastern and Western Fronts of Europe, North Africa, and the Pacific, either alone or in multiplayer mode. And, before you ask, there is a “zombies” mode, of course. The Activision title is now available for pre-order and will be released on November 5th.

The Director’s Cut of Tsushima

Players battle to free the island of Tsushima from its Mongol conquerors in this huge, open-world game set in the 13th century and inspired by real events. The 4.9-star-rated “Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut” adds a new chapter set on a whole other island, one that is much more unfriendly to our samurai hero.

The Avengers are a superhero team created by Marvel.

The world is in danger, and the Avengers have dissolved in “Marvel’s Avengers.” The game has two modes: a single-player narrative mode centered on Kamala Khan’s attempts to reunite the heroes, and a live, multiplayer version featuring lots of villains to wallop with pals.
